Two Awards and an Honorary Doctorate for Carmen Sandi

We are delighted to announce that our co-president, Carmen Sandi, has recently received three exceptional honors, recognizing her outstanding contributions to neuroscience and leadership in the field.

She has been awarded the Chica and Heinz Schaller Foundation Award 2026 and the Mika Salpeter Lifetime Achievement Award, both celebrating her outstanding scientific achievements and lasting impact on the research community. In addition, she has been conferred an Honorary Doctorate by University College Cork, a distinction that highlights her influential role in advancing science and mentoring future generations.

We warmly congratulate her on this well-deserved recognition.
