  • Can Allostasis & Allostatic Load Illuminate Our Understanding of the Social Exposome and Aging? Updates on New Measures and Studies

The Stress Measurement Network will host a series of webinars on stress measurement, intervention, and physiology. This first webinar (9:00 AM to 12:00 PM PDT) will cover foundational concepts of allostasis and allostatic load, cutting-edge modeling approaches, and recent empirical work linking allostatic load to stress and aging.

Dr. Bruce McEwen and colleagues introduced the term 30 years ago, and the concept remains conceptually important while the measurement has evolved over time. Hear from other pioneers in this area such as Dr. Peter Sterling, who coined the term “allostasis.”
